GUWAHATI: The Jalukbari Police on Thursday apprehended the driver of an oil tanker when he was caught red-handed pilfering oil near the Radisson Blue hotel at the National Highway 37. The oil tanker bearing registration number – AS01GC9539 has been seized. The accused has been identified as Narayan Biswas; however, his other accomplices fled the spot. According to reports, the tanker was carrying oil from the Noonmati Refinery at Betkuchi to Boko.
