GUWAHATI: The Sahodaya School Complex, Guwahati Chapter, a platform for Principals of independent CBSE affiliated schools of Greater Guwahati, organized a Principals' Conclave in association with Shoolini University, Himachal Pradesh at South Point School, Guwahati recently. It was inaugurated by KK Choudhury, Director & Regional Officer of Central Board of Secondary Education, Guwahati Region.

Speakers and domain experts discussed ideas like 'Transitioning students from school to higher education', 'Liberalizing India's Private Schools to Achieve the Vision of NEP 2020' at the conclave, as also bringing in more technology programmes to schools and support more investments on bandwidth increase, kindle versions of books in libraries and learning programmes outside the classroom.

The highlight was interactive session on 'Emerging Education in Research & Innovation' was conducted by Dr. Saurabh Kulshrestha, Professor and Dean, Research, Shoolini University for innovation at an early stage of schooling keeping the curriculum being followed in mind and the need to provide critical skills and creative ability to analyse and solve real life issues.

Total 52 Principals and senior faculty members of Sahodaya Complex Schools participated in the conclave that ended with the distribution of certificates to the participating schools, stated a press release.
