GUWAHATI: Punjab National Bank MD & CEO Atul Kumar Goel inaugurated the new Mid Corporate Centre office of the bank at Nayanpur Road, Ganeshguri here on Tuesday.
With this, Punjab National Bank, the first 'Swadeshi Bank' of India which was founded by eminent freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai, has started operations of its 'Mid Corporate Centre' from a new office in the city.
The inauguration of the office same was done by Atul Kumar Goel in the presence of the Zonal Head of Guwahati covering 7 States, Bikramjit Shom. The Mid Corporate Centre would procure and process high value loan proposals and is thereby expected to play a substantial role in supporting industry & trade in the region.
Goel was on a two-day business visit to Guwahati and Shillong. It may be mentioned that post-amalgamation with the Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India on April 1, PNB today is the second largest public sector bank in the country, stated a press release.
