Sanskrit Language Fuels The Essence of Patriotism In North East

GUWAHATI: With an aim to revive and popularize Sanskrit language in Assam as well as other Northeastern states, Organizing Secretary of Sanskrit Bharati, Dinesh Kamat along with other members, met Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum and sought his help for the revival of Sanskrit language in North East.

The organization has requested that Sanskrit should be made compulsory right from primary section to higher secondary level. He also said that for filling up the existing vacancies in different schools, the Teacher’s Eligibility Test should be held immediately. Moreover, as part of the memorandum the secretary also requested to prepare a blueprint for arranging training for Sanskrit Teachers. He also said that since Sanskrit is the essences of most of the other languages, a thorough knowledge of Sanskrit, besides helping the students in understanding the origin of other languages helps them to learn the art of pronunciation. Knowledge of Sanskrit also helps the students to nurture the feeling of nationalism that is Pride of India.

It may be noted that the Sanskrit Bharati is a non-profitable charitable trust functioning for the development and expansion of Sanskrit language in the state of Assam. President of Sanskrit Bharti, Assam Kumud Borthakur, Organizing Secretary of Sanskrit Bharti Bhaben Saikia were also present during the meeting.
