GUWAHATI: The Intellectual Cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Assam Pradesh organized an intellectual seminar at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) North East Headquarters at Padma Bhawan in Uzan Bazar on Monday in association with the Kamrup Metropolitan District unit.
The meeting was chaired by Dhruva Prasad Baishya, Convener of the Intellectual Cell and Tapan Kumar Das, President, of the Guwahati Metropolitan District unit. The seminar was attended by Dr Mrinal Bora, Registrar, Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev University, Manoj Barua, Chief Spokesperson, State BJP and Dr Gyanendran Barman, Associate Professor, Cotton University.
Dr Gyanendra Barman spoke on the lines of ‘Development of the Country under PM Narendra Modi’ and ‘Role of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in the Multidimensional and Fast-paced Development of Assam.’
Speaking at the seminar, chief spokesperson Manoj Baruah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has made steady progress in the last nine years and has become one of the world’s powers. India’s economy is recognized as the fifth largest in the world and its importance in the global context has increased significantly.
Similarly, the Registrar of Srimanta Sankardev University Dr Mrinal Bora said that Assam is moving towards the top five states of the country under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma.
