GUWAHATI: The Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly Hitendra Nath Goswami has constituted a committee for making necessary amendments in the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rule, 1986.
The committee will comprise former District & Session Judge BC Das as chairman, former State government official Munindra Kumar Deka, Commissioner & Secretary to Legislative department Satyendra Malla Bujarbaruah and senior advocate of Gauhati High Court Benu Dhar Das.
The terms and reference of the committee will be to amend the Rule 1986 or frame new rules replacing the Rule 1986, taking into consideration various posts created after Rule 1986. The committee will incorporate and modify the provision for appointment and promotion to the posts for different categories of employees and incorporate the same in the Rule to be amended and framed afresh. The committee will also finalize the amendment and framing of new rules within a period of two months and submit the same before the Speaker.
