GUWAHATI: Assam's Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) GP Singh on Monday afternoon paid a sudden visit to Chandmari Police Station here to take stock of the growing number of crimes under its jurisdiction. According to sources, Singh expressed dissatisfaction at the failure of the personnel of the Chandmari Police Station to curb criminal activities in the Chandmari and Noonmati areas. Further, the Special DGP issued a warning in this regard to both the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Nilotpal Deka and the Officer in-Charge (OC) of the Chandmari Police Station, the sources said.
