GUWAHATI: Assam Chamber of Commerce (ACC) has asked all the business communities to immediately stop dealing with any products which are being directly or indirectly linked with Turkey and Azerbaijan.
In a statement chairman of Assam chamber of Commerce, Rupam Goswami said, “Our country’s recent military operation against Pakistan witnessed Turkey and Azerbaijan lending their support towards Pakistan. As an Indian citizen it is not acceptable to us. When our brave military and civilians are killed by the state sponsored terrorist of Pakistan it is our moral responsibility to cut ties with those countries who lend their support of our enemy nation.”
He further said, “Modern day wars are not only about fighting wars in the battlefield. It’s also about killing the enemy and its allies economically. If we a country of 140 crore population pledge ourselves that we will not use any product from these two countries they will be compelled to lend their support towards our country. Moreover, both these countries are very much dependent on incoming tourist from our country for a sustainable economy. We would also like to request our fellow citizens not to travel to these countries.”
“It’s the time that we all should express our solidarity towards our armed forces and the government. If we make a pledge not to promote, sell or not to do any financial activities with these two countries we will be discharging our duties towards our motherland and our act will go down in the history as a noble and responsible act,” Goswami said.
