GUWAHATI: The campaign 'Bagane Bagane Congress' led by the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) in the tea garden areas is being criticized by the state BJP, which said that after the BJP came to power, there has been development and progress in the tea garden areas.

In a statement, state BJP spokesperson Subhash Dutta said, "The BJP government is the only credit for the development of tea garden areas, and spreading fake political propaganda will not work in the tea garden areas. The tea garden community is part of the development of the state. The Congress should apologize to the tea garden community, as they have been exploited and deprived for a long time.

Dutta said, After the BJP came to power, the line of the tea gardens has been paved, and toilets have been constructed in every household. Every household got their money deposited in the banks, and every household got a cooking gas connection. Clean drinking water has been connected to every household. The tea workers got pakka houses, ration cards, and the Ayushman Bharat Scheme."
