GUWAHATI: Acting on information, a team of Panbazar police under the supervision of SI Pranab Deka, SI Jitul Das, and SI Nikhil Ranjan Nag arrested a miscreant from the Ambari Kali Mandir area and recovered several stolen items on Monday. The accused has been identified as Ram Das. According to sources, the Panbazar police received a complaint from Lakhi Kalita informing them that he purchased a sound system from Pankaj Music Corporation in front of Lakhtokia and loaded it in a vehicle, but on the way to AT Road, an unknown miscreant stole one of the packets of sound mixer, while there was a traffic jam. Meanwhile, the team, when searching Ram Das’s rented place, recovered other stolen items like one Dell Lap top battery, eight packets of disposable ECG Electrodes, 25 spinal anaesthesia injections, 10 Elastic Adhesive bandages, and two iron pillow block bearings, which are known to have been stolen from different running vehicles.
