GUWAHATI: Forest officials seized a timber-laden DI truck (AS01BC7522) from Jorabat on Sunday after a hot chase. The truck was carrying 50 cubic feet of sal timber from Meghalaya.
The forest officials on duty tried to stop the truck that made an attempt to flee. The forest officials had to chase the truck for a while before seizing it at Jorabat. It's significant that in the past three months Jorabat Forest Camp has been able to seized as many as 16 vehicles carrying timber illegally.
