Training on de-addiction conducted in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The employees of the De-addiction-cum-rehabilitation centres of Kamrup Metropolitan, Barpeta, Sonitpur, Golaghat, Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts under the office of the State Anti-Drug & Prohibition Council, Assam conducted a one-day training programme at the office campus of Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment in Guwahati on Friday. The purpose of the training is to explain the roles and responsibilities of the individuals at se-addiction-cum-rehabilitation centres to the newly appointed employees of the centres. Along with all dignitaries, 54 new employees participated in the training programme. State Anti-Drug & Prohibition Council's CEO Rashmi Baruah Gogoi and Chairperson Mridula Barkakoty inaugurated the programme. She revealed that the de-addiction-cum-rehabilitation centres would be operational soon. Barkakoty conveyed the concern of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on substance abuse and that of Social Justice & Empowerment Minister Pijush Hazarika, a press release said.
