GUWAHATI: The Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell has issued a wanted notice against Mithu Agarwal (39), who is evading arrest in the de-siltation scam under the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC).
The notice, which contains a photo of Agarwal and mentions details about his physical appearance, reads: "The above-mentioned accused person has been absconding/evading police investigation, interrogation and apprehension since the date of registration of the case vide case No 04/2022 U/S 120(B)/420/406/409/468/471 IPC, R/W Sections 13(1)(a)/13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988."
The notice adds: "If any information about the accused person is available with anybody, the same may kindly be intimated to the office of the undersigned (Superintendent of Police, CM's Special Vigilance Cell, Assam) or in given contact numbers 9435731118/6901200260. Whoever gives any clue or information will be rewarded suitably and identity of the informant will be kept secret."
