GUWAHATI: The Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva (SSS) and Parampara Pravah has decided to organize a workshop on the use of Brajawali in Guwahati. The workshop will be on July 21, 22 and 23, in collaboration with the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society and in association with International Council for Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), north-eastern region. There will be two sessions daily with practical classes to impart the knowledge of Brajawali.
Dr Basanta Kumar Goswami, an eminent linguist and former general secretary of Axam Xahitya Xabha will be the resource person for the workshop. He will be present on all three days of the workshop. Dr Girikanta Goswami, retired professor of Nagaon College, and several other scholars also will be present in the workshop. The workshop will be open to only a limited number of candidates. Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva, therefore, welcomes prior registration, a press release said.
