AMP president MG Hazarika to form new political party

GUWAHATI, March 12: The Asom Miyan (Asomiya) Parishad (AMP) will form a new political party soon to contest the coming Assembly election. Speaking to the newsmen in the city today, AMP president MG Hazarika said: “We have seen that as the State and the Central governments have not taken any steps to develop the indigenous people of the state, and instead they are more interested in playing politics in the me of religion among the voters. We, therefore, have decided to form a new political party as ‘Assam Miyan League’ (AML) with an ad hoc committee of 21 members soon to contest in the Assembly election and to work for our own people. The fil list of the committee will be declared on March 14 with its ideology and future plan to work for the indigenous people of the state.”
