GUWAHATI, April 30: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) introduced some new schemes for its mobile and landline phones today. in a press conference held at Guwahati Press Club today.
Addressing the media, Chief General Mager of Assam Telecom Circle Rajiv Yadav said that BSNL introduced unlimited free calling during night hours from all its landline phones to all landline phones and mobile phones to all service providers' network in all over the country with the effect from May 1, 2015. The unlimited free calling would be available from 9 pm to 7 am. The customers of new landline phone can be subscribed by visiting nearest BSNL service centre or by calling to the toll free number 1800 345 1500.
Yadav said, "We are going to implement 400 mobile network towers in Karbi Anglong and 500 towers in Dima Hasao districts within 2015. With that, within 2017, optical fiber facility in mobile phones will be available in every village of the state."
Yadav also said that BSNL provides to its customers a wide range of products and services like landline, broadband, GSM mobile, CDMA, Wi MAX services etc., at very competitive rates.
KVN Rao, General Mager (EB), CO said, "BSNL Assam circle has been offering to its customers 2G(32K/64K) Prepaid SIM free of cost since Bihu festival till May 9, 2015. BSNL also introduced a new plan of very low cost at Rs 8 for its new prepaid customers with effect from March 25, 2015 with a validity of 90 days." He also said, "BSNL relaunched special relief scheme 'Samadhan' for settlement of disputes in respect of Broadband usage bills for the benefit of existing and ex customers of Broadband service of BSNL."
Yadav also said, "We have very popular plans for GSM postpaid customers like plan-225 with free calls of Rs 200 and 200 MB data usage, Plan-325 with free calls of Rs 300 and 250 MB data usage and Plan-525 with free calls of Rs 490 and 500 MB data usage. There is no other cheaper mobile service than BSNL now."
