Double trouble for Rajbongshi

GUWAHATI, Dec 14: Call it a bad omen or otherwise for Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) secretary general Paramanda Rajbongshi, it is certainly double trouble for him.

A Jorhat court today rejected the bail plea of Rajbongshi in connection with the case relating to the suicide of former AXX employee Rajen Dutta, who had been found hanging in Jorhat AXX headquarters on November 23 this year. Late Dutta did leave a suicide note behind by blaming AXX secretary general Paramanda Rajbongshi and Biren Goswami for his committing suicide.

As if to cap it all, the family members of Dutta, at a press meet at Guwahati Press Club today, sought the intervention of State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in the suicide of Late Dutta. They also demanded of the minister to dismiss Rajbongshi, a teacher by profession, from service.

Rajen Dutta’s brothers Pradip Dutta and Jodengrath Dutta, sister Jivonimala and brother-in-law Vikash Bhagawati addressed the press in Guwahati today. They said that they were hurt at the outbursts made by Rajbongshi against Late Dutta. They cautioned Rajbongshi not to make any such comments against Late Dutta. They also appealed to the people of the State to give up a person like Rajbongshi.
