GUWAHATI, Jan 1: Kamrup Deputy Commissioner Vinod Seshan today iugurated an evening OPD service in TRB Kamrup District Civil Hospital. The services will be available in the hospital from 5 pm to 8 pm during April to September and from 4 pm to 7 pm during October to March.
State Health and Family Welfare Department started Evening OPD services under the tiol Health Mission, Assam, in all district civil hospitals across the state. Registration of evening OPD services will be free of cost and the service will be available for all 7 days of the week.
In his speech, Seshan stated that the Evening OPD in TRB District Civil Hospital would not only benefit the local people living close to the hospital but also the workers of the industrial area at Amingaon. The patients from the nearly Block PHCs – North Guwahati, Bihdia and Kamalpur – will also be benefited and referred patients from periphery health institutions will so now get the service of specialist in evening hours.
The evening OPD services delivery team will comprise two specialists, two medical officers, two nurses, one laboratory technician, one pharmacist, one radiographer, one assistant for OPD Counter, two grade IV employees and one sweeper. The service delivery team will be given extra allowance.
