GUWAHATI, March 21: The BJP Assam Pradesh has said that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi neither has faith nor trust on the judiciary of the country.

Talking to newsmen in the city today, State BJP spokesperson Bijan Mahajan today reacted sharply to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi dragging the issue of the killing of a student leader, Saurav Bora, albeit without making mention of the me. Gogoi was on record telling the media yesterday that BJP's chief ministerial candidate Sarbanda Sonowal had been issued a charge sheet by the CBI in the case relating to the killing of a student leader even as he was given clean chit by the court later. Gogoi even questioned the inclusion of Sonowal among the accused.

Reacting to it, Mahajan today said: "Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi neither has faith nor trust on the judiciary of the country. If one spits in the air, it will hit one in the face. Gogoi needs to speak keeping an eye on place, time and person. He should know that AICC president Sonia Gandhi, vice president Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are still accused, the mother-son due in the tiol Herald case and Dr. Singh in the coal scam case. In 1993, former Prime Minister rasimha Rao had a CBI case from which he had a close shave. The case against Sonowal was of 1986 that was given to the CID and then to the CBI. On June 26, 1999 the CBI said that there was no evidence against Sonowal. However, a magistrate took the case to the Gauhati High Court on November 28, 2006 only to uphold the CBI's clean chit to Sonowal, on June 26, 2012. However, the case is still going on against the other accused. How come the Chief Minister say in such an irresponsible way? Gogoi came to power in 2001 with the promise of giving exemplary punishment to the secret killers. However, in the past 15 years he failed to issue charge sheet against any of the accused."
