GUWAHATI, Jan 3: Assam Minority Development Board (AMDB) is on the job to dispel fears from Indian citizens, including minorities, in the State whose mes have not figured in the first part draft NRC that was published on the intervening night between December 31, 2017 and January 1, 2018.

“On our own, we’ve opened five NRC seva kendras – one each at Guwahati, Jorhat, Sivasagr, Dibrugarh and gaon – so as to dispel fears from Indian citizens,” said AMDA chairman Muminul Aowal. He added: “NRC authority and the State Government have already taken steps to make people aware of NRC and not to be scary in the event of their mes not figuring in the first draft. The me of no genuine Indian will be left out of the fil NRC. There are all ways and means to include all Indians in the fil NRC even if their mes don’t figure in the drafts. Taking that in view we’ve set up five NRC seva kendras and we’re going to set up more such kendras.”
