Guwahati, March 6: NRL on Tuesday presented the second interim dividend amounting to Rs. 99.90 crore for FY 2017-18 to the Governmnet of Assam against its equity holding of 12.35 % in the Company. The cheque was handed over to Assam Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal by MD NRL SK Barua in the presence of other senior officials.
With this, an amount of Rs. 145.31 crore at 160% on paid-up share capital has been paid as an interim dividend by NRL to the Assam Governmnet for the current fincial year 2017-18. The first interim Dividend cheque of Rs. 45.41 crore was handed over to the State Goverment in December 2017.The Interim Dividend has been worked out based on the performance of the company during the first 9 months of the current fincial year 2017-18, a press release stated.
