PA systems distributed to HS schools

GUWAHATI, June 25: The Kamrup District administration in association Information and Public Relation department today gave away PA systems to 24 Higher Secondary Schools of Kamrup District under Mukhyamantrir Sabdajyoti scheme in a programme held at Guwahati District Library here. The PA systems were given for helping the school students in offering morning prayer and conducting various types of cultural programmes in schools.  As many as 24 Higher Secondary (HS) including Cotton Collegiate HS School, Gopal Bodo HS School, Maligaon Railway HS school of the district were selected in the first phase. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Rabin Bordoloi said, “This is a good initiative for the development of the government schools of the district and I appreciate this.” ADC Fakaruddin Ahmed said that the scheme was first introduced as pilot project in five districts of the state—Kamrup, Jorhat, Darrang, Cachar and Dhubri.
