GUWAHATI, Oct 14: Kamrup (M) ADC Rajib Prakash Baruah held a meeting with the local people of Kumarpara in the city today so as to maintain peace. The need of the meeting arises as Kumarpara Jamat Committee secretary Abdul Motlib lodged a petition before the DC yesterday appealing him not to allow Bijoya Dashami procession along the road near Kumarpara Masjid as that creates problems for them. The move on the part of Motlib was reacted sharply by the Muslims and other people of the area. The ADC appealed to the local people to maintain peace.
