GUWAHATI, Feb 24: Milk sale sees a steep increase in the city today on the occasion of Shivarsatri. Purabi dairy in the city saw its sale doubled. “There was a sale target of 1 lakh packets toned milk, single toned and double cream during Shivaratri against normal day sale of 50,000 packets. Today we sold 60,000 packets and 25,000 to 30,000 packets are likely to be sold tomorrow. Rituals will continue tomorrow as well,” Sangram Deka, who works in Purabi dairy, said.
