GUWAHATI, Nov 12: Assamese fashion designer Sanjukta Dutta showcased the mesmerizing Assamese bridal attire of muga silk at the Asian Wedding Show 2017 at London on Sunday.
In tiol Asian Wedding Show 2017, Europe’s largest Asian Wedding Show, Dutta highlighted her sigture style of synchronizing intricate motifs of rich Indian cultural heritage on the authentic Assamese silk of mesmerizing hues.
Dutta has done Assam proud time and again. To count a few of her major achievements, she was the first designer to have represented the beautiful Assamese traditiol mekhela-chador at the magnificent platform of Lakme Fashion Week. She was the one who hand-crafted muga angavastram for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Assam. This apart, she has designed mekhela-chador for many leading ladies of Bollywood, including Priyanka Chopra, the brand Ambassador of Assam Tourism.
