GUWAHATI, March 4: BJP Assam Pradesh Minority Morcha president Mominul Aowal has said that the Morcha has been dreaming an Assam free from the Congress and the AIUDF.

In a statement issued to the press today, Aowal said: “There has been no development in Assam over the years due to corruption and misrule by the Congress. We need to free the State from the corrupt Congress and the commul AIUDF.”

Welcoming the BJP-led alliance in the State, involving the AGP, BPF and ethno-political forces in the State like the Tiwa Jatiya Oikya Mancha and others, Aowal said: “The alliance has given a common platform to all these forces to prevent the corrupt Congress and the commul AIUDF from making it to Dispur. We’re determined to prevent the Congress and the AIUDF from forming the government in Assam this year. It has given an opportunity to the people of the State to stand against the Congress and the AIUDF by tightening their waistband. We need to work united in 2016 Assembly elections in the State. The minority people of the State will give a befitting reply to the Congress and the AIUDF for deceiving them over the years.”
