GUWAHATI, Feb 7: The absence of Northerly and North-westerly winds, coming from the Himalayan region towards the Northeast, is responsible for the winter losing its chill in the region this year. According to the officials of the Regiol Meteorological Department at Borjhar, this winter there is a cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and its neighborhood at lower levels. Under the influence of  Easterly and North-easterly winds prevailing over the Northeast the normal flow of Northerly and Northwesterly winds has been suppressed. Moreover, the position of anti-cyclonic circulation over central India is a little towards the west with respect to its normal position due to which northerly and northwesterly outflow over the Northeast has not been so prominent. The officials further said that every coming year will be hotter than every outgoing one.
