After Robust Q2 Earnings, Tata Steel Share Price Rises 3 Percent

New Delhi: Tata Steel Share jumped over 3 percent on Friday after the company reported robust numbers for the quarter ended in September.

The company reported consolidated net profit of Rs 11, 833 crore against TCS' consolidated profit of Rs 9,624 crore in the second quarter.

As compare to last year, the consolidated revenue jumped to 55 percent at Rs 60,282.8 crore from Rs 38,940 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. The revenues increased by 13 percent from Rs 53,372 crore reported in the previous quarter on a q-o-q basis.

Notably, with these figures, the company on Thursday i.e. November 11 surpassed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to become the most profitable company in the group.

At 09:18 hrs, Tata Steel was quoting at Rs 1,328.00, up Rs 29.05, or 2.24 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
