When 26 innocent people were killed by terrorists on April 22, 2025, in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, after asking their religion, the terrorists told women (whose husbands they killed), “Tell your Modi that we’re killing Hindus deliberately.” And Modi’s Bharat has replied by doing due Nyaya. “Operation Sindoor” is a reply of Modi and his nation of 140 crore people to terrorism. In Hindu Dharma, when a person dies, after 13 days “Terahavi” is performed to pay Shraddhanjali to the person, to pray for the peace of his soul, to remember his good deeds, and also to tell ourselves that “let’s move on”. Operation Sindoor is Terahavi of all those innocent 22 people. It is the price of Sindoor of those Bharatiya Naris that was taken away by terrorists. A married Hindu woman wears red Sindoor on her head, which is a symbol that she is married. Sindoor is her life, her strength, and her pride, as Vivah is a very sacred and auspicious relationship for her. Sindoor is priceless for her. And terrorists have paid the price of that Sindoor.
Citizens of Bharat of all religions were protesting against this terrorist attack and were united, and the sentiment in the whole of Bharat was that Pakistan should be taught a lesson for sponsoring this ruthless act of terrorism in Pahalgam. Pakistan was giving military protection to the terrorists thought to be responsible for this attack. Pakistan has also been violating the ceasefire on the border ever since the terrorist attack. Clearly, this exposes the ugly face of Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism, which is supported by radical-Islamist ideology. Bharatiya Foreign Secretary said, “It was deemed essential that the perpetrators and planners of the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 people were killed, be brought to justice. These actions were “measured, non-escalatory, proportionate, and responsible” and were focused on “dismantling” the terrorist infrastructure and disabling terrorists likely to be sent across to India,” he said.
Terrorists have been doing this for years, incessantly. But this time, they had made a huge mistake. After all, how long will this terrorism backed by radical forces continue? Innocent people are killed and displaced, sons are taken away from mothers, husbands from women, and children become fatherless. So many countries in the world are suffering due to this. Violations on humans and humanity of all sorts are witnessed due to such cowardly acts of terrorism. They need to be curbed. PM Modi’s Bharat had declared, “Wherever terrorists are hiding, they will be spotted and eliminated. The retribution will be beyond their imagination. They will be demolished.” And it is done indeed.
Ever since April 22, several rounds of meetings have been going on in Bharat, involving the government, military and security agencies. Leaders of all political parties of Bharat extended their support that they are with the government in whatever actions are taken. PM Modi had talked to leaders of some countries that Bharat wants to take action against terrorism. We had been preparing – with patience, with systematic planning, with wisdom for the right time, and for the right action.
And on the early morning of May 7 (Shukla Paksha Dashmi, Vaishaka), at around 1:04 am, the Bharatiya military – Army, Naval, and Air Force, all in unison – started this strike, “Operation Sindoor”, against terrorism, attacking 9 terrorist camps in PoJK (4) and in Pakistan (5). It lasted only for 25 minutes. Among these, 4 camps belonged to the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad, 3 to Lashkar-e-Taiba, and 2 to Hizbul Mujahideen. These terrorist groups are responsible for the Parliament attack in 2001, in which 9 people were killed; the Mumbai attacks that left 166 people dead in 2008; the April 2023 Poonch attack that left five Army personnel dead; the June 2024 pilgrim bus attack in which nine people were killed; and many more. These camps included those in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Mahmoona Jaya camp in Sialkot, Sawai Nala camp in Muzaffarabad, Syedna Belal camp in Muzaffarabad, Barnala camp in Bhimber, Sarjal camp in Sialkot, and Gulpur camp in Kotli. No Indian aircraft has entered the land of Pakistan – these strikes were done by missiles. Hundreds of terrorists are killed. The attacks were so precise that only the particular building was attacked where terrorists were hiding, not hurting even the neighbouring building. No strike is done on any military or civil establishment of Pakistan. Absolutely stunning demonstration of ‘Alertness, Courage, Efficiency, Precision, Technology, and Humanity’ by the Bharatiya military. In various video footages of the operation, many ambulances are seen taking bodies and wounded terrorists from these demolished camps. Images of demolished buildings of terrorist training camps were also seen. It is being reported that many of these camps were being run in madrasas and masjids that had state-of-the-art infrastructure like gyms, swimming pools, facilities for horse riding, etc.
It is rightly said in the Gita, ‘Whenever Adharma increases, Dharma is again established in Bharat, in all Yugas. Peace comes from Shakti and its demonstration’ – rightly said in our Sanatan Dharma, which has been exhibited by the coveted “Operation Sindoor”. We killed only those who killed our innocent people.
Following the strikes, numerous countries worldwide are endorsing Bharat’s action, citing their opposition to terrorism. Bharat has duly informed leaders of the world that this strike was only against terrorism, and we don’t want to escalate this. But if Pakistan does any more mischief, then Bharat will not hesitate to do more strikes to protect her people. Bharat informs all permanent and non-permanent members of UNSC about Operation Sindoor. Ambassadors of various countries are briefed in New Delhi about the operation. This is how a responsible, mature, courageous, strong and about-to-be-developed nation, Bharat, behaves.
This is a new Bharat, who knows how to protect her people with courage. A strong message has gone to the world that if anyone tries to break Bharat, hurting her people and sentiments, then no one will be spared. That all the 140 crore people are united today, against terrorism or any other force that tries to hurt us. Surprisingly enough, Pakistan Army members are seen in the Janaaja (last rites) of these terrorists. Why? This clearly shows the nexus between the Pakistan military and these terrorists.
People all over the country are in a festive mood. People in Jammu and Kashmir are also happy, as they are also tired of terrorism sponsored by Pakistan. They now want peace, progress and development. They want to join hands with the rest of Bharat towards her goal of ViksitBharat@2047. We will no more tolerate such cowardly, inhuman acts of violence against humanity on our land. Our External Affairs Minister tweets, “The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism.”
Mock drills are being done all over the country as a preparation for what to do in case of war. People are carrying them out with a lot of excitement and energy. Our military is alert on the border. Our aircraft are doing constant air surveillance. Though Pakistan has been carrying out mortar shelling on the border, the Indian military has been retaliating accordingly. We will not attack their innocent civilians. We will not attack their military establishments too, without provocation. The message from Bharat to Pakistan is clear.
“Don’t mess with us, or you will have to face many more Operation Sindoors.”
We are proud of our military and PM Modi. Proud moment for Bharat! But we have to be alert in the time to come, as Pakistan cannot be trusted.
