Chi refused to join Pakistan’s efforts to intertiolise the Kahmir issue to defame India. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said Kashmir is a matter to be resolved by India and Pakistan alone. The remark is seen as a major snub to Pakistan from its all-weather ally Chi. Islamabad maged to raise the issue at a recent meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Chi knows well that the State of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. Chi, therefore, does not want to get involved in the Kashmir tussle. Chi hopes India and Pakistan can increase dialogue and communication and properly handle relevant issues and safeguard peace and stability jointly.
The galim issue is currently one of the burning issues in the State. People residing along the border with galand are already bearing the brunt. The Congress meanwhile is trying its level best to politicize the whole issue to derive political mileage. Recently former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC chief Ripun Bora-led Congress delegation went close to galand boundary and held a few meetings and rallies. But the octogerian leader has totally forgotten his failure to solve the vexed problem. While Tarun Gogoi was Chief Minister of Assam, galand too was ruled by his party and to top the matter, his party was also leading the Central government. At the time, Gogoi had the best opportunity to lay the issue to rest forever. Now people like Tarun Gogoi, Ripun Bora , Rupjyoti Kurmi, etc are shedding crocodile tears only to fool the people for their political benefit. One thing to remind leaders mentioned above is that one can fool a few people for some time, but not all the people for all the time.
