Constitutional step

Sentinel Digital Desk

The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi overruling the order of the AAP government in Delhi reserving Delhi government-run and private hospitals in the national capital for only Dehlhites and allowing only symptomatic patients for tests is a constitutional step. The decisions taken by the Delhi government violated Indian Constitution's "Right to Life" under Article 21. Denying treatment during coronavirus pandemic is also a non-humanistic sign. It will be better that the AAP government discusses all issues with the Central government and other States openly. If all the stakeholders plan to develop a joint mechanism to deal with this critical situation, it will be helpful to our fight against COVID-19.
