Insufficient Institutes

More educatiol institutes need to be set up in Guwahati to teach post-graduation courses. The few private and government institutes that Guwahati has, are uble to accommodate all the students who are trying to get admission in one of these institutes.

This has become a problem for students, who are not getting any seat in any of the existing institutes of the city, in pursuing post-graduation courses. The existing educatiol institutes should try to increase their seats and reduce the level of their cut-off marks for getting admission.

Proper provisions and infrastructure should be provided in the institutes so that the student can do post-graduation on whatever subject he or she wants. As we all know that post-graduation is one of the most important educatiol qualifications for a student, it will be fruitful if more institutes are opened to teach post-graduation courses.

The institutes should give proper guidelines beforehand or in the beginning of the session on assignments, presentations, field studies and interl examitions, as well as the amount of marks that are being allotted to each of them. This would reduce students’ confusion regarding marks allotment and the number of assignments given to them in a semester, and thereby  help them to pursue their studies in a more healthy and systematic way.
