Resolutions for 2022
The Union government after scrapping the Most Favoured Nation (MNF) status to Pakistan in 2019, should accord that status to Israel. This tiny country which is surrounded by hostile countries has suffered a lot from terrorism but each time they gave a fitting reply to the jihadi force. Over the years Israel helped India with vital security issues. Secondly, India must invite Taiwan to open an embassy on Indian soil on one condition that Taiwan should abort their claim on Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh. China has never cared about Bharat's claim in POK, then why the hell does we care for Dragon's policy on Taiwan. The patience of every Indian on receiving support from Beijing on POK must have been over by this time. The Modi government should invite the Taiwan government to open an embassy in Delhi and Arunachal Pradesh. In this way, the 'paper' dragon will taste their own medicine. The masters of the Wuhan virus are taking India lightly. Thirdly, India must resolve to highlight globally the atrocities committed of the natives of Baloch in Baluchistan and Tibetans in Tibet. Lastly, India must officially stake a claim for POK.
Meanwhile, in the latest movie named '83', which is based on India's historic 1983 World Cup triumph in England, directed by Kabir Khan, the starring husband-wife duo of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone goes overboard in pleasing the Pakistani movie buffs by showing that the Pakistani Army stopping gunfire along the LoC to let the Indian Army listen to the live commentary of the match on the radio sets. Did this happen? The answer is absolutely a big no. This is fake and propaganda. If that had happened definitely our Armed forces would have confirmed. In fact, on 16th June 2019, the Pakistani Army violated ceasefire along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Naugam sector. On that day, a match between India and Pakistan was played in ICC World Cup in which India defeated Pakistan. The good fact-based movie got flopped just because Director Khan diluted the crux of the movie by adding such unwanted elements.

BSF's jurisdiction
We all know that the BSF is a paramilitary force that is the first line of defence in border areas of Pakistan and Bangladesh. The roles played by the BSF have been time-tested so far for which the people living in border areas of Pakistan and Bangladesh can sleep peacefully at night. The BSF is also playing a big role in checking cross-border smuggling of narcotics, cattle and the intrusion of militants through the porous borders. There are hundreds of instances in the past when BSF faced the brunt of the Pakistani army's full onslaught on the border which they repulsed with utmost valour and sacrifices. But very surprisingly of late, it has been observed that both the CMs of Punjab and West Bengal are questioning the limit of jurisdiction of BSF in their states. Along with this two PCC chiefs, Navjot Singh Sidhu who calls Pakistani PM Imran Khan as his big brother is raising the issue of BSF's jurisdiction as they feel their party's interest is above everything, including that of the nation.
We do not need any enemies from across the border so long we have the likes of the above-mentioned politicians in our country.

Road to peace in Nagaland
This refers to the letter "Road to peace in Nagaland" by Dipen Gogoi (The Sentinel, dated 5th January 2022 ). With the Government of India rejecting a few demands of the NSCN ( IM), the ongoing talks between the Government of India and the NSCN(IM) have remained unfinished. Of course, for the sake of the sovereignty and integrity of India, the Government of India does not accept a few of the demands of the NSCN(IM). The NSCN(IM) has been demanding a separate flag and constitution which the Government of India has rejected. Again, the NSCN(IM) said that it would coexist with India, but, would not merge with India. Unless the NSCN (IM) comes down from its rigid stances, the ongoing talks between the Government of India and the NSCN(IM) will never see an ending. Truly speaking, the Government of India can never sacrifice the country's sovereignty. Nagaland would have to honour the sovereignty of India. For the sake of permanent peace in Nagaland, the NSCN (IM) should not raise absurd demands before the Government of India.

Keeping environment clean
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I want to bag the attention of the general public and the authorities concerned of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation towards the Assam Book Fair 2021-22 which is being held at the Assam Engineering Institute (AEI) playground in Chandmari in the city from December 29, 2021, to January 9, 2022.
Yet after so much effort by the Government after launching programmes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Mission for improving the cleanliness of our country and to raise awareness among the people of India, there are people who are too irresponsible and reckless to learn their responsibility of keeping the environment clean. After purchasing the tickets to enter the fair, the people throw the piece of paper just after getting entry into the premises. This is due to the lack of discipline where these individuals care not to litter the space. And if the same continues the entire ground will be littered with such garbage and this will result in presenting an unpleasant and filthy sight to the visitors.
Therefore, with the hope of turning these irresponsible individuals into responsible ones and to raise awareness in regards to cleanliness amongst them, I with utmost humiliation request you to publish the issue in your newspaper.
