The towering inferno

The term ‘inferno’ refers to a raging fire. Going by the ongoing political killings and unabated violence of all sorts in the recently held Panchayat elections in the state of West Bengal, one fails to understand why the President’s Rule has not yet been imposed in the state. It is clear as daylight that the present merciless, foul-mouthed Didi (read Mamata Banerjee) will go to any extent to be in power. Her act as the CM of the state even in the panchayat election should make all sensible voters in WB hang their heads in shame for voting TMC to power. To be in power, she and her party are dangerously compromising the security and integrity of the nation. On all fronts, she has betrayed her state. The demographic changes taking place in her state should be a warning to Assam. Had the same political violence taken place in any BJP-governed state, DIDI would have used all the foul language available in the dictionary against PM Modi. In the meantime, TMC has started to compare election-related violence with the ethnic violence taking place in Manipur. It is apparent that those willing to contest future elections in West Bengal from any other party expect TMC to be burned in the inferno.

Her very name does not tally with her real nature.
