The Unprecedented
As usual in a fine evening I was enjoying my evening stroll along the Rotary point in TC point which is also known as Lakhinath Bezbarooah Rotary. Suddenly I was very pleasantly surprised to see the defunct fountain of the park coming to life, fully illuminated, under the scheme 'Fountain Rejuvenation Initiative', causing an enchanting scene for all. The unprecedented heavy downpour which is causing flash flood for the past three decades has once again put the newly-formed GMC body in a tight corner.The media both print and electronic are squarely blaming the newly-formed GMC for this deluge. But as a citizen of the city, I squarely blame some citizens for their lack of civic sense as they dump their domestic garbage in the street drains.
I strongly feel that this piece of work by GMC under new mayor Mrigen Sarania is a small step in the right direction and I believe Mrigen Sarania will silence his critics with the right actions at the right time.
