Pakistan’s Misinformation

The Modi government deserves all praise for its befitting response to evil designs of Pakistan of nurturing, patronizing, blessing and aiding terrorist groups

The Modi government deserves all praise for its befitting response to evil designs of Pakistan of nurturing, patronizing, blessing and aiding terrorist groups based in that country which had recently carried out one of the worst attacks on innocent civilians in Pahalgam in Kashmir. While India has started mounting pressure on terrorists based in Pakistan and in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the western neighbour has begun indulging in running a disinformation factory in digital space. Unable to match India’s strategic, well-calculated and specific response, Pakistan has also started making a frantic effort to mislead the media, distort the global narrative, and manipulate the perception of people across the world. Nervous to the hilt at India’s well-measured actions, Pakistan has also started peddling all kinds of fake and malicious content in different social media platforms to present itself as a country of saints. The whole world knows that Pakistan is a hub of terrorists, and that the country has been fomenting trouble in the subcontinent since its birth. For the record, the Muslim League was born in Dhaka way back in 1906, soon after Lord Curzon had divided Bengal and clubbed the then Assam province with Eastern Bengal, and opened the floodgates for large-scale migration of Muslims to the banks of the Brahmaputra and the Barak. Pakistan has put into circulation a number of video clips which are in no way connected to the current situation. If one such clip is of a scene in Dhaka, then another is an explosive attack which had taken place in Lebanon several years ago. India’s Ministry of External Affairs has promptly rejected every such video put out by Pakistan to tarnish India’s image. The latest such attempt by Pakistan is its claim of destroying the Indian S-400 system, and destruction of airfields at Surat and Sirsa. These are nothing but an attempt to carry on Pakistan’s continuous malicious misinformation campaign through false and imaginary claims. As India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has pointed out, it is a fact that Pakistan’s official agencies have resorted to lies, misinformation and propaganda. China, which has remained an ally of Pakistan in its endless malicious campaign against India, has also engaged its official Xinhua news agency to put out false stories that Pakistan’s JF-17 Thunder jets have destroyed India’s S-400 air defense system in Punjab. The reality is that this air defense system is functioning fully well without any hindrance.
