MUMBAI: In a recent turn of events, the team behind the film 'Carry on Jatta 3' finds themselves embroiled in legal trouble following a written complaint filed against them at the Jalandhar police station. The complaint was lodged by the President of the Youth Committee of Shiv Sena Hind, Ishant Sharma, and the Chairman of Punjab Shiv Sena (Taksali), Sunil Kumar Bunty.

Speaking to the media, Chairman Sunil Kumar Bunty stated, "We filed a complaint on behalf of Shiv Sena Hind. In the film 'Carry on Jatta 3,' a scene depicts a Brahmin character performing Havan rituals being humiliated. This has deeply hurt the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus as 'Havan' holds significant importance in our religion. Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, and Gurpreet Ghuggi have violated our faith by disrespecting the 'Havan Kund' and throwing water on it."

Bunty further expressed his concern, saying, "These individuals are targeting the Hindu religion to increase their TRP. If a similar act had occurred with any other caste, they would have resorted to extreme measures such as arson. Hinduism is a peaceful religion, and that's why we approached the government first. If no action is taken within 24 hours, we will protest outside the homes of the director, Smeep Kang, and actor Gurpreet Ghuggi, as they reside in Jalandhar."

Youth Committee President Ishant Sharma echoed Bunty's sentiments, stating, "After receiving clips of the film, we watched it in its entirety and felt deeply hurt. If they acknowledge that the content is inappropriate, the scene should be automatically deleted."

The complainants demand that legal action be taken against the film's cast and crew under Section 295, which deals with hurting religious sentiments, and if the situation worsens, they also insist on invoking Section 153 to prevent any disturbances in Punjab's atmosphere.

The controversy surrounding 'Carry on Jatta 3' revolves around an alleged disrespectful portrayal of a Brahmin character during a crucial scene. The complainants argue that the film has violated the religious faith of Hindus and aims to hold the filmmakers accountable for their actions.

As the legal battle unfolds, the team behind the film may face severe consequences if found guilty of hurting religious sentiments. The allegations made against 'Carry on Jatta 3' have ignited a fervent debate regarding artistic freedom, religious sensitivity, and the boundaries of creative expression in the realm of filmmaking.
