NEW DELHI: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and her partner Gene Goodenough become proud parents of twins born out of surrogacy.

Meanwhile, like an overwhelmed mother, Preity Zinta took her Instagram handle to announce the arrival of her twin children with Gene Goodenough, she opted for surrogacy.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the couple stunned their fans by announcing the arrival of their twins Jia Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough

While sharing her post she stated "Hi everyone, I wanted to share our amazing news with all of you today. Gene & I are overjoyed & our hearts are filled with so much gratitude & with so much love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough & Gia Zinta Goodenough into our family. We are very excited about this new phase in our lives. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and to our surrogate for being part of this incredible journey. In 2016, the actress married her American partner Goodenough in a private wedding in Los Angeles, after making her acting debut in Mani Ratnam's Dil Se in 1998. Soldier, Kya Kehna, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Koi Mil Gaya, Veer-Zaara, and others are among her cinematic credits. Though she was away from the silver screen after marriage but active in social media. The couple's announcement of their twins, Jai and Gia, astonished and overwhelmed their admirers.

Many Bollywood celebs, including Shilpa Shetty, Nargis Fakhri, and Lulia Vantur, congratulated and wished the joyful new parents all the best for the start of this new chapter in their lives.

Bollywood has witnessed it all before when it comes to surrogacy, twins, and passionate notes. In 2017, filmmaker Karan Johar startled everyone by announcing the birth of his twins, a daughter and a son, through surrogacy on the microblogging site Twitter. Roohi and Yash Johar, Johar's children, turned four years old in February of this year.
