Kollywood Superstar, producer, and screenwriter Rajinikanth was admitted to the Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet of Chennai on Thursday 28 October.
He was admitted following an episode of dizziness with his health but later had to undergo Carotid Artery revascularization as advised by an expert panel of doctors in the hospital. The actor was thoroughly evaluated by an expert panel of doctors in the hospital before going for the CAR procedure.
The procedure of Carotid Artery revascularization was successfully completed on 29 October. The hospital and its doctors in a statement declared that the actor will be discharged within a few days as he is recovering steadily.
According to Dr. J Amalorpavanathan, leading senior vascular surgeon Carotid Artery revascularization is a procedure or operation done to restore the supply of blood to the brain. It is done to open the blockages for the improvement of the flow of blood in the carotid arteries. The two carotid arteries on the left and right sides of the neck supply blood to the brain. The procedure takes a time of 45-60 minutes to complete.
According to the latest news reports the actor was suffering from health issues which include infarction which means the death of tissues due to lack of blood supply to an organ or area of tissue. In such cases, if the patients are provided with quick and proper treatment it may not cause serious issues. Rajinikanth's wife Latha Rajinikanth earlier mentioned in a statement that the actor was admitted to a city hospital for a day for the reason of his daily health checkup.
Rajinikanth's upcoming action movie Annaatthe is all set to release during Diwali on 4 November 2021. The actor will be discharged before the release of Annaatthe which means Elder brother and as the name suggests it is an action story that shows the bond of brother-sister.
