Washington: US President Donald Trump has announced his support for Kentucky’s Republican Governor Matt Bevin ahead of the state’s gubernatorial election. In a tweet on Sunday, Trump encouraged Kentucky residents to vote for Bevin, which he called a “great governor”, Xinhua news agency reported. The President also said that he wanted the vote to “send a strong signal” to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, likely pointing to a Democratic-led impeachment inquiry into him. (IANS)
