Hong Kong court bans protests from airport

Hong Kong: A Hong Kong court on Wednesday ordered demonstrators to cease their protests at the city’s airport and stop obstructing its functioning, forcing them to leave the premises except for specially-designated areas, airport officials said. One of the world’s main air-transport hubs, HK International Airport has since last Friday been swarmed by thousands of anti-government protesters who gathered there for a sit-in to draw international travellers’ attention to their home city’s ongoing political crisis and the alleged police brutality employed against demonstrators.
