Israel Reports New COVID-19 Variant

As per the Health Department officials, new variant has been found in the RT PCR report of two passengers, who landed at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport.

New Delhi: Israel's Ministry of Health on Wednesday said that it had reported two cases of new COVID-19 variant.

According to reports, so far, information about two people getting infected with this variant has come to the fore. However, Health Ministry officials are not too worried with this development.

This new variant is a combination of two sub-variants BA.1 and BA.2 of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

As per the Health Department officials, new variant has been found in the RT PCR report of two passengers, who landed at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport. However, the health officials have said that so far no one has any information about this variant.

Symptoms of New Variant

As per the health ministry, the two cases of this variant which has been reported in Israel, symptoms like mild fever, headache and muscle disorder have been seen. However, the patients with this variant do not need any special medical facilities.

Four Million People Have Got The Vaccine

More than four million people of Israel's 9.2 million populations have received three doses of the coronavirus vaccine. Despite this, cases of infection have been reported.

Notably, again it seems that COVID is spreading its foot in China. In such a situation, it is feared that its cases can be seen in other countries also.
