Saudi Arabia: The incident occurred at Green Mountain Park, a popular resort attraction in the scenic Al Hada region.

Eyewitnesses described a horrifying scene as the central pole of the ride suddenly recoiled before collapsing, flinging riders from their seats and hitting individuals standing nearby. The ride's structure then crashed into the ground with force, injuring both passengers and bystanders. Several of the injured suffered broken bones and severe trauma.

Swift Response by Emergency Services

Emergency services including civil defence units, local police, and ambulance teams responded immediately. Most of the injured were transported to nearby hospitals, with three reported in critical condition. Fortunately, no fatalities have been confirmed.

Videos circulating online show the aftermath of the crash—injured individuals lying on the ground, frantic family members, and first responders working amid scenes of chaos. Authorities swiftly cordoned off the area around the twisted wreckage.

In response, Prince Saud bin Nahar, Governor of Taif, ordered the immediate closure of Green Mountain Park pending a full investigation. A statement from the Taif Governorate, reported by Saudi Gazette, confirmed that a technical review is underway to determine the cause of the mechanical failure and whether safety protocols were properly enforced.
