VAASTU RULES FOR NAVRATRI

The Chaitra Navaratri (nine nights) has already started from the 22nd of this month and will continue till 30th March.

If betel leaf is regularly offered to God at the place of worship in the house, then the negativity of the house goes away and the communication of positivity increases.For successful completion of any work,leave the house on Sunday with a betel leaf.

The Chaitra Navaratri (nine nights) has already started from the 22nd of this month and will continue till 30th March. Nine forms of Ma Durga are worshipped during these nine days. If certain Vaastu rules are followed, devotees can reap double benefit by observing these navaratris.

1. Install the footprints of Goddess Lakshmi on the main door of the house. Blessings of Ma Laxmi will be there.

2. Keep water in a pot at the main door of office or home preferably at north or east.Put red and yellow flowers. This brings success in career and business

3. Draw the “Aum” symbol on the main door to remove negativity and bring peace and prosperity

4. It is very auspicious to light the “akhandjyot” or uninterrupted oil lamp at the southeast of Puja which should be lit till the first day of Navaratri. If sesame oil is used, then the lamp should be placed at left hand side of Ma Durga. If a ghee lamp is lit, then it should be placed at the right-hand side of Goddess Durga. Under NO circumstances, the akhandjyot should be placed on the bare ground.

USE OF PAAN(BETEL LEAF) IN VAASTU

Betel leaf and areca nut have great importance in Indian culture. The areca nut is considered a symbol of auspiciousness, on many occasions. Betel leaves are used to offer food to deities.Betel leaves offered to deities are often treated with reverence and worshipped as a god. In astrology, betel and areca nut are used to fulfil many types of wishes and to remove sufferings. Where according to legends, Lord Hanuman likes betel leaves very much, so paan or betel leaves are offered to please Lord Hanuman.We will discuss some Vaastu remedies using paan.

1. To get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth, offer rose petals on a betel leaf on Friday to please her.

2. If you want to please Hanuman through worship and get the desired blessings, then you must offer sweet paan along with the prasad which are usually boondiladdoos.

3. If you are not doing well in business even after hard work, then you should hang five betel leaves and five peepal leaves on a thread in the east direction of your workplace on Saturdays. This will increase your business and get profits. It is believed that by doing this remedy, money will come and there will be rapid progress in business.

Role of Sea Salt for Cleansing

Salt has the property to absorb negative energy. When it is mixed with water,It can cleanse and dispel negative energy. Sea salt is better than packed salts available in the market.Rock salt is even better but it is expensive.Used sea salt or sea salt water should be disposed outside the house or down the drain. A bowl of salt water should be replaced regularly. Pranic healers use salt water for disposal of used up negative energy which is changed very frequently. One must take precaution not to dispose the used sea salt water near any plant because the plant may be harmed. Similarly, this saline water should not be touched by hands or any part of the body. Though it is better to keep the bowl of salt water on the ground, it must be kept clear of children and pets.

Space clearing or cleansing can be done in home or office with salt water. Hence, it is a very powerful tool in Vaastu. The different uses of water with sea salt is given below. Generally, about 500 gms of sea salt is used in a bucket of water.

1. The floor can be mopped weekly or more often with saline water

2.Place bowls of sea salt in the corners of a room, under the bed, on top of bookshelves, inside cabinets, and places which are not cleansed regularly where chi or energy may stagnate.

3.Feng shui suggests small bowls of sea salt in the northeast and southwest of the house to stabilise the chi.

4.Keep a bowl of sea salt in the bathroom to absorb negative energy.

5.When planning to occupy a house which was previously occupied by others, it is a good idea to sprinkle some salt water on the floor and leave it overnight or several hours. It should be mopped later to pick up residual negative energy.It is just like soaking clothes overnight in a detergent to expel dirt.

6.The house should be cleansed with saline water after a large gathering or party because there may be negative energy or thought forms left behind.

7.Crystals attract and absorb energy easily. So, crystals should be cleansed regularly with salt waterby soaking them in it.

8.Clear the energy of previous owners from larger objects by placing bowls of sea salt inside, on topof, or under the object for several days. Or, wash the object with sea salt water (if you are sure this won't harm the item) followed by a distilled water rinsing.

9.Old items received or purchased from others should be cleansed with salt water.

10.The advanced Pranichealers confront and may absorb lot of negative energy while healing sick patients.So they are advised to take regular salt water baths. Those suffering from chronic ailments and pain like arthritis, gout, etc. should take a salt water bath twice or thrice a week.
