Shopian: In yet another encounter, three terrorists have been killed in South Kashmir. The gunfight between the security forces and the terrorists took place in Sugan Village of Shopian district. The encounter started on Tuesday evening and continued the entire night.
A joint team of Police, CRPF and Army's 44 RR have launched a search operation on receiving particular information about the presence of militants in the said area on Tuesday. They cordoned off the area. As the joint team approached the area that they were suspecting, the militants who were hiding fired upon the joint team. The militants were killed in retaliatory firing from the security personnel side.
As a preventive measure, the internet services of Shopian have been stopped.
