Army Chopper Crashes in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua, Pilot Dead

Kathua: In an unfortunate turn of event, an Indian army helicopter force-lands in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Lakhanpur area on January 25 in which one of the two pilots injured in the chopper crash succumbed to injuries.

The chopper, which was coming from Pathankot, was forced to make a crash-landing in an Army area in the Lakhanpur belt of the district, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kathua Shailendra Mishra said.

Earlier, speaking to media, Deputy Commissioner of Kathua, OP Bhagat said, "Indian Army's Dhruv chopper crashed in Lakhanpur area of Kathua at about 07:15 pm today (January 25)." "Two pilots of the chopper were reportedly injured and are being treated in a hospital," he added.

According to PRO Defence of Jammu, one of the two pilots injured in the chopper crash in Kathua succumbed to injuries.
