As per the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) calendar, all public and private sectors banks in different parts of the country will not available for service for up to 15 days in April 2022.
People having their bank work scheduled by this month must keep a note about the list of holidays on which banks will remain close.
Notably, there are no national holidays in the month of April this year but there will be long weekends and numerous festival holidays.
On the first day of April 2022 i.e. on Friday, all commercial and cooperative banks will be shut down because of the annual closing of accounts.
The 15 days of bank holidays in this month includes second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays but only 6 days out of these will be weekend holidays.
As per RBI, bank holidays are divided into 3 main categories that are Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks' Closing of Accounts.
