The JW Mariott incident of charging Rs 442 for just two bananas is not much old yet and another controversy of overcharging for food has happened in a Mumbai hotel. Reportedly, the hotel charged its customers whopping Rs 1700 for just two boiled eggs and this is truly insane!

After the incident of actor Rahul Bose being charged with Rs 442 for two bananas in a Chandigarh hotel created much controversy, the hotel was charged with a fine of Rs 25,000. But this was not perhaps the best instance for other hotels to learn a lesson as a similar and even a bigger incident has happened in a Mumbai based hotel named Four Seasons Hotel. A Twitter user, Kartik Dhar, has brought the incident into light by making a post of the bill he was charged for two boiled eggs along with some other foods that he ordered in the hotel. The tweet by Dhar reads “2 eggs for Rs 1700 at the @FourSeasons Mumbai.”

However, not only the boiled eggs, a similar overprice has been charged for two omelet as well which is being well mentioned in the bill posted by the twitter user.

Dhar is the author of “All The Queen’s Men” who have even tagged the first person to bring the monarchy of hotels in overpricing race. He tagged Rahul Bose and said “Bhai Aandolan Karein (Shall we protest)?”

However, the particular hotel making such illogical charges for boiled eggs is yet to make a statement on this matter.

Right after Dhar posted the image of the bill on his twitter account, users started making sarcastic comments on the hotel's misconduct while also criticizing the hotel. One of the users even said “Is ande ke sath Sona bhi nikla hai kya (Did the hen hatch gold with the eggs)?” While another user tweeted, "Chicken must be from very rich family...”
