COVID-19: 30 % pay cut for PM, Union minister; MPLAD fund suspended for 2 year

NEW DELHI: To deal with the financial situation in India that has been impacted amid lockdown Union minister Prakash Javadekar has said that PM, Union Ministers and parliamentarians will receive a 30 % pay cut.

Besides, the President, Vice President and all the Governors have also decided to take a 30 percent cut in their salaries for a year.

The Cabinet also decided to cancel allocation of Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funds. MPLADS will be 'suspended for two years, 2020-21 and 2021-22.
