New Delhi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, while speaking in the Lok Sabha on 4 January, said that he does not want Z-category security.
Earlier the AIMIM chief's car had come under attack in Hapur in Uttar Pradesh on 3 February but the Hyderabad MP escaped unhurt.
Owaisi also made a startling revelation. He revealed that a recce was conducted by two people before the attack took place near Chhijarsi toll plaza on the Hapur-Ghaziabad stretch of the National Highway 24 at around 6 pm on 3 February. One person has been arrested in connection with the attack.
"My question is who are those people who believe in the bullet and not the ballet? Who are these people who are so radicalised that they don't believe in Ambedkar's Constitution," the AIMIM chief said.
He further added that the radicalization of the youth will jeopardize the country and shatter religious harmony.
The Hyderabad MP raised a question as to why the people who are radicalizing individuals have not been booked under UAPA.
If someone gives an inflammatory speech, they are not booked under UAPA but someone reacting to a cricket match has to face this stringent law," said the MP from Hyderabad.
He also enquired as to why his attackers have not yet been booked under the UAPA act (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act).
Furthermore, he said that India has been divided into two parts - one that counts love as its wealth and the other which is built on hatred.
Owaisi took to his official Twitter handle to share a picture of the bullet marks in his car.
"I have seen bullets from six feet. I may not see tomorrow," Owaisi told Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
He said in the Lok Sabha that he does not want Z-category security. He also added that he wants to live as a free man and cannot live a life of suffocation.
Owaisi appealed to the 'Government of India' to put an end to this 'hatred'.
